A view from the side shows a whimsical face. This is believed to be Ed's self portrait.

Ed’s Self Portrait

Ed’s enigmatic self-portrait sculpture is located on the south wall. At first glance, it appears to be a triangular abstract assembly of coral rock, stone, and seashells, but this intricate sculpture features a prominent face and is adorned with 2 large conch shells at the bottom and smaller seashells on the sides, in the formation of threes. In addition, there are three small pillars on top of the sculpture. Three is a dominant element throughout the castle in its many triangle shapes and often symbolizes earth, air, and water.
