Generator Rotor.

Generator

Ed’s homemade generator was built out of a Model T engine block mounted vertically and various other Model T parts. Ed used the Model T engine block with the crank and the flywheel and stripped off all the other parts. He embedded that assembly into the ground in concrete in a vertical position. He stacked numerous magneto magnets from other Model T’s around the flywheel, locking them in place with nuts, bolts and concrete. In the middle of the magnets, he built a hand crank and a four load camshaft. The way it functioned is Ed would turn the crank as fast as he could and there was a transformer that was mounted next to where the magnets would pass by and that would induce a voltage.
