I saw a spot on TV about Ed and the castle and thought it would be interesting to visit. When my brother and I first pulled up, we thought we drove over an hour and a half for nothing. Once we stepped inside the courtyard, we were mesmerized by everything. We walked around for a while by ourselves, but when we took a tour, we realized there was so much more than meets the eyes. Whether you believe the grounds are a tribute to love, religion, the afterlife or free masons is up to you. We will probably never know the full truth. There's no question that this work of a 5'0" 100lb man is incredible. WELL WORTH THE TRIP. I plan on visiting time and again.
What is closest airport? General aviation airport? Open Sunday?
MIA (Mia International Airport)
Homestead GA Airport (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homestead_General_Aviation_Airport)
Coral Castle is open 7 days a week.
Fascinating place & a must see for anyone's travel plans!! Have wanted to see it ever since I saw a t.v. documentary on it a few years ago. I also had read Rusty McClure's book, Coral Castle. The place was every bit as amazing and wonderful as I expected it to be. I loved it and the guide was wonderful and informative. Highly recommend a venture into this place!
hi, i live right down the street from the castle. i've been there over 9 years ago (august 2001) and i'm thinking about going again sometime before the end of this year. pretty cool place...
I'v lived in the Keys 20 years, always thought of stopping to visit Coral Castle, but never did. After seeing your videos and reading about the castle. I will definitely take a special trip to visit Coral Castle. Thank you for sharing
Ed was the reincarnation of bastet. Its in his book, a book in every home.
What a wonderful place of contemplation.
This is fascinating! We will definitely visit when we are in your neighborhood.
My sister called me one night and told me to turn on a tv show about this place in Florida called the Coral Castle. It was pretty interesting. On a trip to the Keys in 2003, my mom and I stopped at a Wendy's. When we pulled out, I saw the sign for the Coral Castle. We decided to head over and take a look. It was amazing and we were very glad we took the time to check it out. Well worth a look!!!
We were married here 31 yrs ago and went back with our children 14 yrs later. They were amazed as was everyone who came to our wedding. Hopefully, we'll make it back one day to see this incredible, unbelievable achievement of Ed's, maybe bringing the grandkids next.
